Functions
Functions are an important feature that allow you to calculate complex calculations simply and quickly. Functions
are pre-defined formulas that calculate a specific value (which are called arguments) and return the summit. Microsoft excel includes a lot of built-in functions. To use functions in your workbook, you can just write the function name from the toolbar >>> Add >>> Function. From the window that is open you can select the desired function that you want to use. After selecting the function you want to use and clicking OK, the next window will ask you for the arguments and the values that the function will use
You can find a few different functions types :
- Math functions, to make mathematical calculations.
- Text and values functions, to manipulate texts.
- Logical functions, to compare and check if the expression is true or false
- And more functions types such as, search and information
Hyper-Links
Hyper links is a text or graphic, colored and signed with underline, that allow the user to click them and move to another file, location or website. You can identify Hyper-Links by moving with your mouse pointer over them and the Icon will change into a hand. In order to add a hyper-link to a cell or graphic, click with the right mouse button, and select Hyperlink from the opened menu, then an Insert Hyperlink window will appear, all you have to do is to type the desired URL.
